I have over 30 years in the commercial insurance industry; in both underwriting and marketing capacities. Prior to joining The Institutes, I worked with the Berkley Life Sciences team, the Chubb Group, Aetna Casualty & Surety and Hartford Steam Boiler Companies. During my career, I have worked in a number of different, diverse territories and regions. I have a broad skill set across the general commercial underwriting specialty, operational risk management, and overall insurance industry. I've earned my Charter Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. I also have professional designations in the areas of Management, Marine Insurance, and Reinsurance. I have multi-line underwriting expertise across all major aspects of commercial coverage and industry segments. I have a sound understanding of the fundamentals concerning book management, pricing methodology, rate adequacy, and the need for proper terms & conditions. I strongly believe in continued professional and personal development and I have continued to enhance, develop, and strengthen my personal underwriting expertise and knowledge of the industry. I have successfully implemented comprehensive business strategies and have positively contributed to the overall regional and territorial strategies. My business approach has consistently focused on revenue growth, account management, new business, and employee development. I will proactively work with each customer to identify and implement the risk management program that best fits their individual operation and address their exposures to loss. I have also built coached & developed underwriting teams that have consistently made significant contributions to corporate business results.
