About Mike Crowley

Over the course of many years I have been actively involved in both Film and Television Production. Over these years my production skills include working in a wide array of departments from feature films to shorts, documentaries, and corporate projects. I worked in a variety of departments including the Art, Camera, Gaffing/Grip and as a PA. I have been DP on a variety of productions as well. My camera skills range from working on RED Level Digital to Super 16mm film cameras. My post-production skills include editing on programs like Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite along with many other software applications. The clients I have worked with have been sports icons like Penny Hardaway, and Charles Oakley to the late Roger Ebert. Transitioning from the world of production I became a writer, analyzing various films on my own website ypareviews.com which led to my work being published as an official film critic for The Chicago Indie Critics. Instead of limiting myself to just a tech master, I always seek a challenge in discovering new avenues of knowledge. Without that insatiable thirst for proficiency I wouldn’t be able to consistently move forward the way I have now and in the future.
