About Mike Cusick

Over the past several months, I have had the honor of being a Work Study Coordinator that included teaching Adult Life and Road to College courses that prepare students for transition living skills. During this time, I have successfully placed students on IEP’s in part-time jobs throughout the community, prepared seniors for transition from high school to adult and college life. My current position also gave me experience in the application process for project search and life for 13th year seniors. As an intervention specialist, I have proven that I am very organized, manage the students very well, and am hard working and dedicated to educational and personal leadership. When observing the population of employees compared to the population of students in special education, it becomes imperative for children to have male role models, as well as females, to look up to and to assist with their education. There always seems to be a need for male special educators in today’s system and I am available to fulfill this need. I have Master’s Degree and license from the state of Ohio in Special Education as an Intervention Specialist, mild to moderate, K-12.
