About Mike Dennison

I am retiring from the Navy in July 2023 and I am looking for my next great adventure and team! I have 20 years of experience working with technical teams from deep underwater where I slept next to torpedos to the snow-tipped mountains in Afghanistan where not all my friends came home alive. I have years of cross-functional team leadership in offices, overseas camps, and on boats (big and small). I've moved resources and people around the globe to meet National Security requirements and do things they make movies about. I've authored operational plans, strategies, supporting plans, assessments, evaluations, awards, and funny haikus for the back-of-going-away gifts. I've sat with Generals and Admirals and I have provided my honest and sometimes unfavorable recommendations. I have found money when we needed it, resources when we didn't have any, and partners that could help us along our path. I've created visions and maps to guide the growth of new programs of emerging importance that will keep our people safe. I have learned foreign languages, protocols, technologies, weapons, and have been called a power point ninja on occasion.
