I have been a health and safety professional for over 22 years having gained experience in the Automotive Manufacturing Sector, Fire & Rescue Service, Housing Association, Education Sector, Building & Construction, Health and Safety Manager and Professional Trainer delivering training in all H&S topics, first aid Instructor and CITB courses and most recently returning to the manufacturing sector as Head of Health, Safety & Environmental at Cross Manufacturing. Ive worked in various manufacturing companies such as automotive, plastic and nylon moulding and engineering, aerosol can manufacturing plant, paper cup/plate manufacturing plants for many years, beginning my working life on the shop floor and progressing to leadership roles and all the associated responsibilities on my worklife journey. My practical and realistic approach to sensible health and safety management alongside my cheerful and bubbly personality, breaks the typical stereotype clipboard in hand, glasses on the end of your nose mould, which can be associated within my profession. I very much take the "can do" approach and not the "can't do". “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love what you are doing, or learning to do” One of my key work objectives is to ensure that when people enter the workplace, they operate in a safe environment and they return home to their families at the end of the day.
