About Mike Eldridge

I realized at the young age of eighteen that I was not meant to play in the Major League (or even a fantasy league), so I decided to buckle down and try to find some purpose in life. That's when I found myself at the recruiting station, enlisting in the US Army during the height of Iraq War. From there, I followed a dusty, worn path of adversity and perseverance, eventually becoming a Combat Medic. I'm absolutely positive LinkedIn does not allow enough characters in this section for me to describe my love of being "Doc." Once I successfully transitioned to the civilian world, I worked as an EMT in the Greater New Orleans area for a while. Yet again, I decided my life needed a change of scenery, so I enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University as an Integrative Biology major. I am now working as a Senior Consultant at ERM focusing mainly on state and federal regulatory agency compliance, wetland mitigation, and Threatened and Endangered Species surveys. Had I known this was an actual career path when I was a teenager, I could have spared myself the blood, sweat, and tears brouhaha while in Iraq and gotten myself a solid head start. That being said, I am focused on on putting my passion and skills for ecology and conservation biology to use by guiding my clients towards a solution that not only fits their requirements, but the needs of local and federal regulation entities that we all answer to. which is pretty neat.
