About Mike Gillette

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA®) is a global self-funded nonprofit organization founded in 1896 with the mission of preventing death, injury, property damage, and economic loss caused by fire, electrical, and other hazards. To achieve this, the NFPA works to promote the development and implementation of scientifically-based consensus codes and standards, as well as conducting research, training, and education. NFPA's codes and standards have a widespread impact on communities worldwide. Nearly every building, process, service, design, and installation is affected by NFPA's over 300 codes and standards, which are administered by more than 260 technical committees with over volunteer subject matter experts in areas such as building and life safety, emergency response, electrical safety, fire safety, fire protection systems, and industrial hazards. I am a results-driven, full-cycle sales professional with over 15 years of experience in business development. As a member of the Global Business Solutions Team at NFPA, my role is to cultivate strategic partnerships across the United States by addressing safety issues for our stakeholders. I collaborate closely with private, government, and military partners, addressing their safety needs through NFPA Solutions. When I’m not working, I'm at home in New Hampshire spending time with my wife and daughter, tinkering in my shed, or throwing the ball around with our dogs. Looking to learn more about the NFPA?
