About Mike Hanscom

I have experience in non profit, governmental, utility, oil/natural gas, pharmaceuticals, timber, construction, banking, auditing, television media, manufacturing, and specification secondary aluminum. I have been the controller for two companies. I have experience performing the financial reporting function, tax compliance, product and project costing, auditing, budgeting, personnel management, and IT oversight. I have experience calculating oil and natural gas reserve depletion on over wells with multiple well heads, multiple lease agreements, and multiple producing zones. I have filed tax returns for over eleven states for at least ten tax years for both oil/gas and pharmaceutical companies. I have experience working for both privately held and publicly traded companies. My main requirement when working for a family owned business is that they are open to adopting me. I am from southern Oregon but have lived in Alabama since 1982. I have experienced a lot of different cultures. I have lived in Oregon, northern California, northern Arizona, northern Missouri, and northern Kansas. I have treasured what living in each state has taught me. My parents were big on taking vacations that allowed us to see this nation. I'm 2/3 of the way to reaching my personal goal of visiting all fifty states. I have Hawaii, and the northeast to go.
