About Mike Hedensten

I hold a current CPA license and have 20 years of experience in the manufacturing/distribution accounting/finance world. I started as the accounting manager at Pilatus Business Aircraft in May, 2015, received a promotion to Controller January 2019 and a new job title to Director Accounting / Controller as of January 2024. The newest development is our merger with our sister company Skytech, Inc to form the new Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd starting January 1, 2026 to expand the Pilatus footprint here in the US. The expansion includes a new facility we will start building in Sarasota, FL. I graduated from Regis University on May 3, 2008 with my Masters in Business Administration, MBA and officially received my active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), license on May 28, 2008 from the Colorado State Board of Accountancy. I am a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA).I hold the Charted Global Management Accountant (CGMA), credential from the AICPA due to my experience at Vapor Technologies. My areas of expertise include: accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial month and year end close. I also specialize in budget process, loading of monthly – yearly, budget information into a parent's consolidation system, communications with internal and external auditors, and ERP system administrator with made2manage (M2M) while at Vapor Technologies and Quantum (MRO) software role permissions manager at Pilatus.In addition, to my accounting experiences I also like my art work. In my header profile picture you see a Welcome sign; I completed this wood burning a few years ago as Christmas gift to my Dad. I still play hockey and I have a love of classic muscle cars. So numbers are not the only things I care about:)
