As a senior executive/ board member for a pioneering multinational 'recovery for reuse' managed services enterprise, I witnessed first hand the substantial financial rewards that the systematic reuse of used products actually delivers. I discovered the key for organisations to achieving similar levels of financial and competitive advantage was how they embraced new-age 'reuse' operational disciplines and circularity based business models. We redefine the Circular Economy as maximizing the reuse of products for their originally intended purpose to achieve most lifetime value, minimize recycling as it reduces value and divert used materials from waste for bi-product production. I formed Circularwise to support product producers in developing best circularity practices to achieve profit boosting cost savings and to establish competitive circular 'go-to-market' sales revenue models and to promote entrepreneurial activity centered on the innovative re-purposing of waste streams to instead become valuable inputs to produce new profitable bi-product(s)
