Hey Reader! Welcome! Since Photon Control (recently acquired by MKS in 2021) contract has completed, back into the job search mode. Should you need an experience PM with background in NPI and product development, feel free to reach out. Prior occupation was at a startup, bringing to market a dust measuring instrument. It's 'claim to fame' is a real time dust monitor. You wear this instrument and it shows you some numbers that are suppose to represent the amount of dust in the air. My activities there, we're a range of many thing, from handling shipping and receiving, to ordering parts and pieces, but, primarily, to get the product built. Prior, it was bringing Airlink products into production of Sierra Wireless' at China (Suzhou - Flextronics) factory to be manufactured. Includes all the build planning and Engineer handling. Also, another employer has been a start-up, that was funded, and supported, by Flextronics. This start-up, took the company name of 'Imerj'. I was recruited as a HW Project Manager to do that PM magic required to bring a unique smart phone to market. The smart phone uniqueness was in the fact that it was a dual display, folding product. Your standard features incorporated GSM/WCDMA, BT/WiFi, Camera, gyro/accel sensors, HDMI, USB OTG, GPS and Android OS. The product was designed such that to 'fit' with a dock and tablet accessories that the handset powered. The dock allowed HDMI and USB OTG functionality. The handset was the 'processor' for the tablet. I have had P.Eng (APEGBC) status, until moving out of B.C. I have had various (combined) roles within Nokia. Essentially, delivering the two handset products out of the Vancouver (Burnaby) product creation site. I have lead the Baseband team (direct engineer reports), investigated critical failures, lead a team (cross-functional) for the purposes of factory bring up. Contributed in the planning of handset products. Sustaining and sustaining handover. I have developed my Engineering skills in the development of marine navigation components for Offshore Systems. Think of the automotive GPS systems that are out now, but, for commercial shipping. High end, to scale charts, with additional presented content: Radar (developed that HW), wind direct/speed, speed log, gyro. Created a training course for customer's technicians for installation and maintenance. More information - upon request.
