About Mike Klinger

Taught college from 1976-1980 at Mt. Hood CC in Gresham, OR. My responsibilities there were to teach: 1st/2nd year music theory, jazz improvization, jazz band, orchestration and composition, private piano. Worked in music retail buisness at Denny's Strings & Things in Gresham, OR for 3 years from 1984-1986. My responsibilities there were to: provide a series of music technology classes in Yamaha DX series synthesizer programming, music sequencing and composition. I also headed the music technology sales dept. Formed my own company in 1988 The Synthesis Midi Workshop which specializes in training in music technology and educational sales. Currently I offer classes and workshops at The Mike Klinger Music Technology Retreat Center in the beautiful Pacific NW and do online teaching for IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue), SPU (Seattle Pacific University, and my own online courses in Pro Tools, Sibelius, Finale, and iPads in the Music Classroom thru I am a proficient jazz pianist and keyboardist with over 42 years experience and 4 albums.
