About Mike Lam

I am the Integrated Water Management Lead at GHD in Western Canada. I have management and implementation experience in consulting, government, and construction. Currently employed at GHD’s Integrated Water Management Group to lead and manage various mining and water infrastructure planning and implementation projects and pursuits. Primary skills and responsibilities include: • Engage with major clients to strengthen relationships and lead proposals to bring in projects and revenues. Major clients include Teck, City of Surrey, MoTI, BC Hydro and City of Vancouver. • Lead and mentor engineers to develop their technical skills and careers, including hydrology, hydraulic modeling, as well as design and construction management. • Manage delivery and implementation of projects, which include wastewater management, water quality improvements, rainwater management, open channel design, habitat improvements, water related permit applications with provincial and federal agencies, as well as capital planning and construction. Manage and deliver over $2M of projects per year. • Develop business and operation strategies with Regional Directors and Group Managers to retain staff, increase win rates and grow our business.
