About Mike Maleki

I believe a machine's reliability starts long before a wrench hits a bolt — it starts at the planning table. With 18 years in maintenance planning across the petrochemical, oil & gas, and mining industries, I've seen how a well-planned job cuts downtime, reduces costs, and — most critically — keeps people safe. Working in HSE-driven environments taught me that reliability and safety are not trade-offs; they are the same goal.My technical foundation comes from 14 years at two large petrochemical facilities: 8 years at Arya Sasol Polymer Company and 6 years at Mehr Petrochemical, where I managed maintenance planning for mechanical, electrical, and instrument equipment. Later, I've expanded into production scheduling at Prairie Machine and currently work as a maintenance planner at Denison Mines for thelast year.I tought Operations Management as a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan for one year while workibg full time in industry — because I believe sharing knowledge makes the whole industry stronger.
