About Mike McKee

I founded MI2 Operating Systems in 2015 as a water and wastewater contract operations firm, focused on municipal clients in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana as well as industrial food processing clients nationwide. Previously, I served as President and C.O.O. of EMC, a contract operations, maintenance and management services business in the water and wastewater treatment industry. I helped lead the company to its peak of 40M annual revenue. In a 20-year period, EMC secured 65 contracts in 13 states in the U.S, employing over 400 employees. The sale of the EMC business 2001 enabled me to use my expertise in the water and wastewater treatment industry to consult with a wide professional services firms in my field such as Progress Environmental and Donohue and Associates. My passion for science lead me to earn a biology degree from the University of Missouri and I started my career as a high school biology teacher at Chaminade College Prep in St. Louis, MO. I am experienced in both industrial and municipal treatment operations and have been responsible for all phases of the business: sales, service delivery, bottom line financial performance. I hold the highest-level wastewater operator certifications and have lead the entire sales process including evaluation and estimating teams that priced contracts for competiveness and profitability.
