About Mike McNaron

With over nine years of experience in museum education, I am a passionate and creative leader who strives to make science accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. As a School Outreach Coordinator at Seattle Aquarium, I coordinate, plan, and deliver programs that connect students and teachers with marine life and conservation issues. I have a proven track record of managing budgets, teams, and projects, as well as collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals. I have also initiated and led several initiatives to foster an inclusive and anti-racist culture within the organization, such as renaming citizen science as community science, founding and training the Anti-Racist Learning Committee, and representing my department on the DEI committee. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities to advance my field of expertise and contribute to the aquarium's mission.
