About Mike Nichols

I am now the Technical Support Manager for AZO Incorporated, I have been with AZO for over 40 years and have held several positions at AZO. I started out in equipment assembly for about 5 years while I went to school at night. I then switched and was the first full time Field Service Technician for AZO which included installation Supervision for process systems and start up of the same. As we grew I became the Field Services Manager as we hired additional Technicians. I also maintained my field duties at the same time as managing the work of the rest of the Technicians. I worked in the field for 25+ years and did about 3 million miles in the air. I am now retired from Field Services Team and have move to being Technical Support Manager. My responsibilities now included technical support, training, maintaining, running the test lab as well as writing technical documents. As a hobby I am a historian of the Western Theatre of the Civil War, my ancestors were from the South and did there duty they were required to due. I am here to make sure the true history is told good or bad, but true. That is very important because there are many false tales and books about why the South entered into the war. I was in an Confederate Artillery Battery which our purpose was to keep the life and functions of an Artillery solider alive and how the gun team functioned. I also rode Calvary until I was to old to ride and shoot at the same time. I am a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and we do the same make sure the true history is told and make sure that the sacrifices that the Confederate solider gave does not get forgotten. The soliders in all wars who do the fighting are never the ones who bring the wars on, they are just conscripted into doing the fighting.
