About Mike Parello

Hi there! My name is Mike Parello, and I’m an experienced project manager with a background in launching workforce development projects and social services programs. I also have expertise in communications, writing, editing, and user experience research. Throughout my career, I’ve helped non-profit organizations develop program management tools, execute operations improvements, conduct strategic outreach, and handle any and all challenging special projects that tend to pop up! With a passion for driving impactful change, I lead complex projects with empathy, curiosity, and humor. To my project management and operations improvement work, I bring my experiences within the social services industry, employing the interpersonal and communication skills developed through empowering vulnerable populations to produce high-quality results for complex and innovative projects. Whether guiding clients toward stability or optimizing internal processes, I’m dedicated to equity, measurable success, and having fun while doing it. Outside of work, I am an avid fitness lover, having run two marathons, a duathlon, and countless half marathons (13.1 is my favorite distance—what can I say!). To support this passion, I’m pursuing certification as a personal trainer (NASM-CPT) with the goal of helping others adopt healthy and sustainable lifestyles while demystifying how to do it.
