About Mike Piechowski

Mike is a Principal Hydrogeologist with Terraphase Engineering and has 30 years of experience. Prior to joining Terraphase, Mike spent nearly 27 years with Robinson Noble and served as their Hydrogeologic Division Manager. Mike has specialized in municipal and industrial water supply wells and has worked on some of the largest-capacity wells in the state of Washington. Mike's extensive experience with groundwater monitoring networks and instrumentation has been integral to many successful water supply and contaminant remediation projects. He has directed and conducted the testing of monitoring and production wells for numerous public, commercial, and industrial clients. Mike performs regional groundwater resource evaluations, groundwater flow modeling, all phases of wellhead protection plans, and downhole geophysical surveys. He also has a background in environmental hydrogeology, with considerable experience identifying, delineating, and remediating soil and groundwater contamination. Mike is a Licensed Hydrogeologist in Washington State. Mike served as President of the Washington State Ground Water Association in 2020 and is a member of the Association's Executive Board. He is also serving as the Chair of the National Ground Water Association’s Regional Policy Committee for the Pacific Northwest. Mike was a founding member of and served as the first chair for the Nisqually Chapter of the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists. The Washington State Department of Ecology recently appointed Mike as the Primary Hydrogeologist on its Well Construction Technical Advisory Group.
