About Mike Rapak

I enjoy crafting stories. Storytelling has an incredible power that can entertain people, help people relate, and has a means to teach. I value that everyone has a story to tell and want to not only hear the story but promote the story. I love movies and videography. I think there are many ways to tell a story and I like the ways that video can tel stories. With video, one can manipulate the story in a way that actually enhances the impact. I think that's incredibly valuable and an amazing accomplishment. I like to create in all ways. Working in multiple live productions, I enjoy the hard work of loading equipment off a trailer to setting it up, to the last minute panic that ensues when the show goes on in 10 minutes and the thrill of excitement that goes with it, to tearing down the stage with a satisfied, job well done feeling, to loading it all back into the trailer for the next show. From the hands on work to sitting around a table with a unit to think up the next act, both are valuable and bring joy and entertainment to people. Sometimes, I hear the impact the show had on someone and I am reminded why I do what I do and why I pursue it.
