About Mike Rickman

Experienced Front-End Developer | Full-Stack Capable | UI/UX Enthusiast Innovative software developer with a strong focus on building high-performance, scalable web applications. With over seven years of experience, I specialize in React.js, Vue.js, and AngularJS, crafting seamless, user-friendly interfaces that enhance engagement and accessibility. My expertise extends across JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, TailwindCSS, XState, RESTful APIs, and responsive design, ensuring optimized performance and cross-browser compatibility. Beyond front-end development, I have Full-Stack experience working with PHP, MySQL, and backend API integrations, allowing me to fully implement and debug features from end to end. My recent role at ELB Learning included leading the development of Noodle™, a highly interactive learning game, transforming an MVP into a polished product while collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders. I thrive in agile, fast-paced environments where teamwork and problem-solving are key. My ability to bridge the gap between development and design, coupled with a user-focused mindset, makes me an asset to any team. I'm continuously growing my skills, recently expanding my knowledge of Next.js, state management tools, and AI-assisted development. I am open to both full-time and contract roles, with a preference for hybrid/in-office work but am fully open to remote opportunities as well. Let’s connect and discuss how I can contribute to your team’s success.
