About Mike Sleyman
My passion for radio started after entering my college radio station back in 1975 at VCU and I've done just about everything in radio you can do ever since for formats including Top 40, Country, News & Information, Smooth Jazz, and Oldies. I started as a DJ when we actually had records to play, from there I added sports play-by-play for some Virginia stations. The midpoint of my nearly forty year career had me focused on programming and operations with the Curtis Media Group for stations in Goldbsboro, Raleigh, and Durham, NC. For the last thirteen years I have been selling the medium I love with my current focus being the heritage News/Talker WPTF. I still pick-up my headphones and voice an occassional ad, even produce and co-host shows.
