About Mike Stacy

Mike Stacy is Vice President at SMI. Leveraging decades of government contracting experience and a large network of government and industry relationships, he works with clients across the firm’s key practice areas on strategic projects to drive sustained growth in U.S. defense and federal civilian markets. Previously, Mike was Senior Vice President at Burdeshaw Associates, a Washington-based consulting firm specializing in market research, business operations and strategy, and government contracts. While at Burdeshaw, Mike interacted at senior levels with hundreds of domestic and international companies in the aerospace, defense, intelligence, energy, medical, electronics, and telecommunications sectors on a wide range of strategic growth solutions. He led significant DoD contract win strategies for many clients, including Northrop Grumman, Martin-Baker Aircraft, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Embraer, BAE Systems, Raytheon, Zodiac, and numerous others. Mike’s career also includes senior executive roles at Bombardier, Inc, a global transportation company focused in aerospace, mass transit, and commercial products. There he led global defense marketing, strategic planning, and business development activities as well as U.S. defense legislative strategies and government relations activities. Mike serves on the Board of Directors of kSARIA, Inc. and the Senior Advisory Board of All Purpose Networks, LLC. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Radant Technologies, Inc. and the Senior Advisory Board of Crowley Maritime Corporation. Mike is a Master Army Aviator and is certified by the U.S. DoD and the National Contract Management Association as a professional program manager, contracts manager, and materiel acquisition manager. He did his undergraduate work in Business Administration at Auburn University and his graduate work in Systems Management at the University of Southern California. He is active in the alumni associations of both institutions.
