About Mike Stephen

Currently I am happily working as a Turnaround Planning Lead at the Irving Oil Refinery since 2022, where I have the pleasure of working with a team of 6 directs and ~20 Contracted employees Planning 100-200 Million dollar annual Turnarounds, as well as Major Outage Scope. I am experienced in most aspects of Industry with a demonstrated history of working in both renewables as well as the oil & energy industry. I have worked in Commercial, New Construction, Maintenance, Major Projects, and Turnarounds. I had started working in the Construction industry as a Steamfitter/Pipefitter in 2009. During that time, I have held roles such as Foreman, Shop Stewart, General Foreman, and Supervisor. I have also had 5 years experience as a Material Coordinator (Projects and Turnarounds), and 5 years experience as a Planner (a mix of planning for Maintenance, Projects, and Turnaround). I have also done work in Estimation (MTOs and Labour), Web Design, and Website administration. I have experience and skills in negotiating collective agreements, Labour Relations, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc) Bluebeam, Adobe suite, P6 Primavera, Oracle, Spoolfab and More. Certified Red Seal Pipefitter from NBCC (New Brunswick Community College). I am always open to new challenges, and I am a fierce advocate in Life Long Learning, and I am always pushing for software modernization.
