About Mike Thomson

Experience working with major food/beverage, pharmaceutical, entertainment, and utilities companies. I began my career in the industrial automation industry by consulting in the realm of process controls design, then leveraged this experience to move up to managing facility infrastructure and automation projects of various scales and complexities. After some time in the systems integration business, I took a role managing all aspects of the electrical and automation at a Nestle production facility. In this capacity, I provided leadership to a team of operational support technicians while managing capital and expense projects for facility upgrades, as well as leading some cross-functional improvement initiatives. I then joined the GMP Automation group at Amgen, where my responsibilities included management of automation projects, capital portfolio project support, and operational support for automated systems. I rejoined the systems integration side by accepting a position with Wunderlich-Malec Engineering as the LA Business Unit Manager. I set the direction, lead business development, develop business plans and budgets, and oversee the operations of my engineering projects team. I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
