As Operations/Field Manager i am constantly on the go whether it be safety, down hole problems, or logistics there is always something to do. Some days you work your normal 12 to 13 hours and other days can be significantly longer. When I first came to Suriname in 2012, I thought the language barrier might interfere with communications between me and my crew, but i soon learned that drilling is drilling no matter where you are. In our first month my team and I doubled production, tripled it by the 3rd month. I am now located in North Sudan, and bringing the same workmanship, and motivation. Life is boring without challenges!
