About Mike Warner

I am now focused on doing good for my community, whether that's a single person, a local non-profit, or a global cause. I am keenly focused on dismantling systems of oppression, with a special emphasis on voting rights. I was recently a co-founder and principal of Data Geeks for Good, LLC, where we provided data analysis and reporting to people whose mission is all about community service and social justice. I still like to play with data, code and websites, and some of my community service work leverages these skills. I’ve already learned so much through past community involvement. The struggling readers I’ve tutored reminded me of the restorative joy that comes from quiet learning time with the written word. Mentoring refugees and ex-offenders taught me the power of perseverance. Managing a group of almost a hundred musicians taught me leadership skills beyond what any classroom or office experience ever could, because, well, we’re musicians. Before the "grand transition", I spent my professional career focused on bringing meaningful technology solutions to market with a keen focus on the customer’s journey. My own journey took me all over the world, feeding my passion for international cultures and building expertise in global markets. I served in a wide variety of positions on both the business and technical sides of the house, which served to build up a broad set of skills and experience. I brought a problem-solver’s approach, attention to detail, and a keen sense of the client's experience to every opportunity and every project.
