About Mike West

I am a senior leader with over 25 years’ experience in service delivery, business strategy/ digital transformation, and general management across the public and private sectors. This has included significant experience in the public sector environment, including working with Ministers, Chief Executives, and senior leaders. I understands the benefits that digital technology can provide to organizations and the importance of careful stakeholder management in that environment. Have substaintial experienced in leading large teams (over 350 people) and programmes to transform the public sector service delivery models to accommodate legislative and Government driven change. Comfortable in governance roles navigating through complex situations. More recently I have had responsibility for leading programmes to transform the public sector service delivery models to accommodate legislative and Government driven change. I have relied on my digital background, business process change skills, and strong and effective leadership to guide organisations through the transformational change that impacts its people, processes, and technology inputs. I have a pragmatic approach to change management which has ensured that the change programmes have been successful and provided real business benefits. This has assisted in my ability as a change agent to develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across many organisations, gaining an understanding of stakeholder’s interests and needs and in turn managing their expectations. In previous roles I have also been responsible for national and organisational incident management and recovery activities across a range of areas including housing, insurance, cyber security, and COVID-19.
