About Mike Williamson

I have roughly twelve (12) years’ experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety field and over twenty three (23) years in the Oil & Gas industry. I have held many positions in field operations from a roustabout, a lease operator to foreman and supervisor positions. I have made the transition into the EHS field and feel that I have much to offer to your organization from my oil and gas experience both operationally and in the EHS role. I have much to offer in the way of diversity of experience and profession in that I have in many different parts of the exploration and production industry from onshore to offshore, international and domestic. From my experiences as an EHS manger I have gained the knowledge of safety management and management systems. I have spent many hours delivering training sessions and have worked as an adjunct instructor for several organizations. I pursue every type of training or career development opportunity that arises and have committed many hours in pursuit of three (3) Certified Safety and Health official certifications (CSHO), Certificate in Safety Management (CSM) from ASSE and also the Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. I am currently completing my Associate degree in Occupational Safety in pursuit of my Bachelors degree. My most recent experiences as a Sr. Training specialist where I performed employee assessments, identified training needs, developed curriculum, interview training providers, and observe training sessions receiving feedback from both the provider as well as the students and using that information to develop a program that meets the needs of all. I have a true passion for the EHS field and enjoy training and interacting with the personnel that programs and training affect the most ensuring that they understand and are receiving the information that they need to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
