About Mike Wood

Mike Wood is a Lighting Designer/Director, Production Manager, and all-around theatrical practitioner working extensively throughout the United States. While the bulk of his work has been in the theatrical world, he has experience in nearly all areas of live production and is always seeking out new and challenging opportunities to work with collaborators. Favorite recent projects include The Hot Wing King (Alliance Theatre), Rogers: The Musical (Marvel Studios / Hawkeye Disney +), and Dungeons & Dragons The Twenty-Sided Tavern, which is currently running both off-Broadway and at the Sydney Opera House. He has been honored with many nominations and awards for his work in several cities throughout the country. In addition to this work in lighting, Mike has also served as the resident sound designer for Denizen Theatre in New Paltz, NY and spent three years as the Director of Production for City Springs Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA. An accomplished educator, Mike has served on the faculties of Marymount Manhattan College, The Collegiate School, Hillsborough Community College, and Howard W. Blake School of the Arts. He holds a BA in Theatre Design from the University of South Florida as well as an MFA in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Memphis, both with concentrations in Lighting Design. Mike has been a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local USA829 since 2014.
