About Mike Worcester

At just 20 years old, the fire service found me, before I even had time to grasp what life would be like. Today, I credit those early years for forming who I am today: a servant leader, constantly finding ways to improve myself and help those around me progress in their careers. A few years ago, I finally decided what I wanted to do when I grew up and pursued my Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Management through Purdue Global University. Today, after more than 25 years in the fire service, I look forward to the day I can use my knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead the next generation of firefighters in their careers the same way my mentors led me. I live in Castle Rock, Colorado with my wife of 20 years, Susie, our two high schoolers, Kacey (18) and Charlie (15), and our dog, Marshall. Once both kids have settled into the next part of their lives, I hope to find a leadership opportunity that will guide the next steps in our lives. I enjoy being outdoors: the beach and the ocean, the mountains and trees, and all the activities they provide.
