About Mike Young

As a certified "people person", I have found my true passion in people development. In my role on a learning and development team, I make it my personal goal to make a difference, however small, in the lives of every person I cross paths with. A company is only as good as its people, so keeping the humanity in an organization's practices is paramount to a successful brand. Somewhere out there, somebody has made a family tradition out of that recipe you forwarded to them. A simple piece of interview advice to a friend could be the thing that help them stand out and land their dream job. I approach everything that I do with this idea in mind: that our contribution to someone’s life can seem so small to us, and so important to them. Doing this allows me to approach every consultation, coaching session, facilitation engagement, or even friendly conversation with the level of passion, commitment, and responsibility warranted by something with the potential trial to change a life for the better. I pride myself in my ability to work teams, coach and provide feedback, find viable solutions to challenging situations, and identify opportunities for improvement where others may not see them. I am an exceptionally fast learner, open to criticism and always seeking out new ways to challenge myself and develop new skills. It is my sincere mission to make a difference at an organization whose values closely align with my own.
