About Mike Zoetmulder
I am a self-taught Mechanical/Design Engineer with 35+ yrs of experience designing and building stuff. I spent many years helping with the first experiments leading to solid-state oxygen production/removal for the MOXIE experiment on the Mars Opportunity Rover. I went on to sonar arrays for the Navy and now medical devices. I have been in charge of multiple research labs over the course of my career, and getting to where I am now has led to more experience than can possibly be written here. In 2014 I was recruited to help get a start-up acoustic sensor business up and running. I was tasked with designing parts, assemblies, processes, fixtures and line set-up for multiple production lines from bubble detector assemblies to thrombectomy and phacoemulsification transducers.
