About Mikel Calderon

My driving force is to work with people to help them overcome societal barriers by crafting experiences that can help them succeed. After college, I retuned to work at my former High School as a STIP sub for the Oakland Unified School District with the desire to serve my community. In this role, have learned about the administrative side of our education system. I have also had ample opportunity to offer Mac and PC trouble-shooting and other technical support to our staff and students. It brings me great joy to be able to help bridge the gap in access to technology in the classroom. I am passionate about learning new skills and taking on new challenges. In my spare time, I enjoy reading about privacy and security, making music or taking a quiet stroll in the outdoors. Specialties: Audio/Visual equipment, Technology Troubleshooting, Mac and PC troubleshooting, basic graphic/logo design, small scale web design, and in general problem solving.
