Background
About Mikel McGee
Hi, I'm Mikel (my-kel)! I'm a passionate Milwaukee native with a diverse background and a commitment to making a positive impact in my community. With a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master's in Criminal Justice from UW-Milwaukee, I have always been drawn to understanding and addressing the needs of others. For the past few years, I dedicated myself to advocacy work at local non-profits like Sojourner Family Peace Center, where I empowered survivors to find hope in their journey towards healing. In 2019, I followed my passion for creativity and entrepreneurship by founding my own floral business. Through dedication and a commitment to excellence, I've been honored to be recognized as one of Milwaukee's "40 Under 40" and awarded the title of "Best Florist" by the Shepherd Express for four consecutive years. Combining my love for community advocacy with my entrepreneurial spirit, I strive to foster connections and create spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. I'm excited to continue making a difference and exploring new opportunities to contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Milwaukee's community. Let's connect and explore how we can collaborate to bring about positive change together!
