I had no idea. I wanted to experiment, explore, and try it all. At fifteen, I delivered pizzas on a military base in Iwakuni, Japan. At twenty, I volunteered at a vintage fashion shop in Kalk Bay, South Africa. At twenty-one, I served as a quasi security guard and started a wedding videography business in San Luis Obispo, California. And now, as a Student Affairs professional, I've only continued to expand my range of skills and experiences. Earlier on into my career, I often doubted myself for not specializing in one particular talent. But now, I'm proud of my diverse experiences, and how it's equipped me with a broad range of skills sets and the ability to adapt into new situations with creativity and unique perspective. I now have professional experience in recruiting, hiring, talent development assessment, onboarding new teams, policy writing, supervising teams, customer service, housing operations, career coaching, project management, manage customer data, program evaluation, curriculum design, event marketing, graphic design, facilitate retreat, design month-long employee training, emergency student care, and leadership program design. Ultimately, as a well-rounded individual, I am still expanding my professional and personal tool belt, and seeking out new skills, challenges, and opportunities. PS.
