About Mikkel Berger

MSc in Molecular Nutrition and Food Technology with solid experience in quality management and occupational health and safety within the food industry. I currently work as a Quality Manager in an international company, where I’m responsible for both quality and HSE across the Danish sites. With a background as a food consultant at Eurofins and hands-on experience from several food companies, I have developed broad and practical expertise in food safety and compliance. Key competencies include: • Quality standards: IFS Food, BRC, IFS Logistics, HQC Halal, and SMETA • Authority communication and inspection handling (Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, Danish Working Environment Authority) • Quality assurance: validation, verification, and calibration • Maintenance and development of HSE organizations across multiple sites • Development and optimization of HACCP systems and risk assessments • Documentation and compliance: internal audits, OTS, PreOp, and SSOP • EU and Danish legislation for food labelling and nutrition claims I am structured, self-driven, and thrive at the intersection of production, management, and regulatory authorities – always with a focus on continuous improvement and high food safety standards.
