About Mikko Ollgren

I have been fortunate to be involved on a birth of today's high-volume data transfer -and processing industry. Gaining hands-on experience through the years on the data processing trilogy (create, deliver, and maintain) is satisfying experience. The digitalisation journey is changing gears and I am looking forward to witness new generation data consuming applications to brought up to help our life. As a technical support engineer for mobile telephone networks I got immersed in the technological world of hyper reliability and scalability. Understanding the challenges involved on complex large-scale system operation and maintenance was valuable asset when transferring to the delivery management role. Keeping in mind the reliability and operation aspects during the transition to the new system gave led to better planning and sequencing results. Delivery and project management, which I enjoyed very much, involved me to the business and strategy objectives driving the businesses. This satisfied my appetite for continuous learning. My creative side got stimulated on occasions where delivery needed to be adapted for business requirements. Finding technical deliverable solutions for the business requirements was satisfying and rewarding work. When an opportunity to be a product manager for network automation product came I didn't hesitate a moment. I put my experiences in full use by using all chapters of the trilogy. Continuous learning and optimising solution performances are the main drivers for me. Gained skills from the productising, delivery management, system scalability, and utmost reliability are fully transferable skills to digitalised businesses.
