I work with business owners and leaders and solve their legal and commercial problems. I run a motivated, well organised and efficient team at Adams Law LLP. I have been doing it for a long time and I get on really well with my clients because I am a straight talker, a good listener and I take the time to understand their point of view. I enjoy working on highly complex and time critical litigation and corporate matters. I believe that my sound judgment and my ability to conclude deals, to settle disputes and to bring tasks to a conclusion provides my clients with a distinct strategic advantage. I have a degree in business management from Trinity College Dublin. That has given me a huge insight as to how businesses are run and how strategic decisions are made. I believe I have the ability to see things differently and as a consequence I take more of a lateral approach to solving problems. I know my way around the psychology and nitty gritty topics talked about at a boardroom table, matters that go to the very heart of a business or organisation. I advise on corporate transactions, including venture capital and private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and re-organisations. I also advise on a wide range of commercial and contractual arrangements, including in relation to Intellectual Property rights, IT/technology, commercial property, employment, outsourcing, franchising, agency and distribution arrangements. I have gained vast experience in representing clients in hundreds of legal disputes around the world over the last 30 years. I have worked on many high profile legal cases involving business leaders, public representatives, high profile business owners, investors and developers, famous football clubs and high street brands. I have gained many insights along the way from both a commercial and legal perspective. Very often I have to advise clients in extremely hostile situations. I have an innate understanding of what risk is and I have an instinctive ability to focus in on the important strategic and financial issues for clients during intense negotiations, mediations & litigation.
