About Milena Paneque
I am a genetic counsellor at CGPP-IBMC After trained in Cuba as Psychologist and Genetic counsellor, I have been working in Portugal since 2002, developing a genetic counselling training programme and clinical practice in the field of genetic healthcare. My current research relates to quality of genetic counselling practice and how to improve genetics healthcare. I have experience in teaching genetics to health professionals in the higher education sector, but additionally I have been the co-Director of the Genetic Counselling Master Course at ICBAS, Univ of Porto. I have been involved in setting core competences and learning outcomes in genetics for European health professionals and I am currently a member of the Genetic Counsellors and Nurses Professional Branch at the European Board of Medical Genetics.
