About Miles Erbe

I am an upcoming STEM Teacher at Delsesto Middle School in Providence, Rhode Island. After a move to the East Coast, I am very excited to start this new chapter of my teaching career! I have just finished a 4-year commitment with Saint Louis Public Schools in partnership with St. Louis Teacher Residency, and Washington University in Saint Louis (WASHU). The residency program was designed to create an avenue for individuals looking for a non-traditional route into teaching while serving students and families in the St. Louis area. With my admission to this program, I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from WASHU in August of 2022. This was a very rewarding step in my teaching and professional career. My goal in teaching is to attempt to bridge the educational inequality in urban area schools and have a positive impact on communities that I work in by empowering those who I teach. I have been working in schools with high English Language Learning populations and find it very rewarding! Going forward, I am looking for more opportunities to teach students the benefits of education, STEM-specific learning tools, and a path to navigate from teaching to administration roles. I will be seeking either a PhD or EDD in the future.
