About Milin Mathew

As an aspiring Settlement Worker with a strong background in Psychology, I am deeply committed to supporting newcomers in navigating the challenges of settlement and integration. My academic foundation in Psychology, paired with hands-on experience in counseling, has equipped me with a compassionate and empathetic approach to understanding the diverse needs of immigrants and refugees. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with individuals facing life transitions, mental health challenges, and cultural adjustments, providing tailored support that fosters resilience and empowerment. I am passionate about creating inclusive environments where individuals can thrive and feel supported as they adapt to their new communities. My goal as a Settlement Worker is to provide holistic services that address both the practical and emotional aspects of settling in a new country, helping individuals build strong connections, access essential resources, and overcome barriers to success. With a keen understanding of psychological well-being, I aim to advocate for and uplift the voices of those who are often marginalized, promoting community integration and social equity.
