About Miljan Simonovic

Helping teams transform ideas and visions into products! 5 years of combined corporate experience in Project & Product Management as well as 7 years of NGO experience in Project & Organization Management. During my career, I worked with both enterprise and startup clients in different industries - from ed-tech to healthcare to web development to cloud computing to observability. While working on numerous challenging projects, I managed in-house and outsourced projects with teams of all sizes - from one-man initiatives to projects with 10+ team sizes. I have hands-on experience with Scrum and Waterfall, as well as hybrid and custom-made project processes. Regarding Scrum, it was a "learn by doing" process where I introduced Scrum as a framework and worked with a team for a year in two-week sprints. I also have an educational background in it since I did my MSc degree on the topic "Scrum framework application analysis". Being involved in constant communication and collaboration with team members and clients, I have used quite a few PM tools (Jira, Trello, ActiveCollab, YouTrack, Basecamp), and also communication and documentation tools (Google Workspace, Office 365, Notion, Slite, Confluence, SharePoint, Miro, Mural, Zeplin, Figma, etc.). I have an education background in computer science, possess a basic knowledge of programming and I'm familiar with different programming languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C#, Java), which helps me to better understand development teams and empower them to deliver great results. Passionate about psychology and marketing (Certified Digital Marketing Associate by Meta), active Wikipedia user with more than written articles (previously also Wikipedia admin for 3 years).
