I have an industrious approach to tasks and I am constantly active at work or at play. I am success and goal oriented. I set schedules with great energy. I love the outdoors and like making things better, faster and more efficient. I like to set deadlines to work toward and I am prone to take a disciplined step-by-step approach. I like to understand why things are the way they are and I get a lot of pleasure in developing people in helping them reach their potential. I will volunteer for causes that I believe in and have to watch myself, as sometimes I will judge people a little too quickly and harshly. If I believe in something, I tend to get caught up in an argument that I would rather not have. Sometimes I think I am too forgiving. My Tendencies include: • I like taking charge of tasks and building teamwork. • I break tasks down, closely monitoring those parts delegated to others. • I am less comfortable with complex and multiple tasks. • I look for concrete, short term results, especially if they bring rewards to my team. • I can become rigid and guarded under pressure. • I usually relate well to people and willingly listen to their problems. My Potential Limiters: With Tasks: I could benefit by understanding more of the big picture. I ought to make sure that I am clear about a project before jumping in with a full commitment. I need to make sure that I have to explain to everyone all the reasons related to the task I am pursuing. With People: While I like to do things myself, I need to learn to delegate more responsibility. Because I tend to spread myself thin, I need to limit myself to pursuing critical tasks. • I need to make sure I understand the overall goal and context before I jump headfirst into a task. • I should ask others to share their ideas on how to accomplish tasks and how to satisfy and meet pre-set expectations.
