Degree in Graphic Design -Ex Professional Rugby Player with England 7s -5 years self-employed Painter/Decorator-Property Investor-Current trainee building surveyor alongside studying for an MSc in Building SurveyingI started my professional sports career in my first year after university and had the time of my life playing for England 7s all over the world. As all pro sports careers, mine came to an end and I chose to pursue a career in decorating, utilising my love for design and hard work. I set up my own company in September 2018 and ran it very successfully for 5 years. Alongside this I continued to play rugby at premiership level for Gloucester-Hartpury, and England 15s, on a semi pro basis. This taught me valuable time management and organisational skills. Going into 2023 I wanted to further my career but employing staff wasn’t the desired route for my business. Through networking, an opportunity arose to become employed as a trainee building surveyor alongside studying for a masters degree in Building Surveying at UWE. I’m currently thriving in this new role and can’t wait to discover the industry fully. I’m now retired from rugby but enjoy commentating for the BBC and speaking/hosting at events. I’ve collected many skills over my short professional career so far and I look forward to the future.
