About Milo Lis

Ever since I was a little tot, I knew working in theater is what I wanted to do in my life. As a young first-generation American and queer artist, incorporating social justice and global issues into my work is imperative. Theater is the seed the change. Is the first layer of art that takes risks and uplifts voices. It is the drop that ripples cultural change through our society. It is only a few years after where larger media learns to follow. Now more than ever, we have reached fruition of how important theater is to our everyday lives, how art is a necessity to survive, both as a profession and a consumer. I am an inspiring Theater Artist, born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut. I am currently a Freshman at Bennington College, receiving a well-rounded liberal arts education that is letting me experience many wonderful disciplines I wouldn't get to explore elsewhere. I have a concentration in Drama, Music, and Writing. My experience includes acting, singing, dancing, and instrumental training since I was 5, which has morphed into more specific disciplines such as directing, composing, choreography, arranging, playwriting, and theater tech. Former mentors would describe me as hardworking, engaged, ambitious, and adaptable. I will always set the bar high for myself and never fall below it.
