Hello! My name is Mimi Castro and my pronouns are any/all. I am currently a Prevention Program Manager, overseeing MHFA OK & MHFA @ UCO. We work to facilitate Mental Health First Aid trainings across the state of Oklahoma at no cost to individuals and organizations through a state-funded grant. I am deeply passionate about suicide & overdose prevention in my community, and work to better the lives of those around me through practical, evidence-based trainings. We also aim to further the conversation around mental health with the organizations we support and partner with - by destigmatizing mental health & substance use challenges, we can most effectively encourage individuals to engage in services and practices that strive towards a state of wellbeing. In my personal time, I am passionate about fiber arts, the outdoors and my cat Popoki 2.
