About Mimi Chan

Early in my career a mentor told me to "speak up!" As a leader I have learned most importantly to speak up for others - whether its a customer in need, a rising star on my team who deserves the credit, a person of color or colleague who is not there to defend themself. I am a entrepreneurial marketeer who thrives on finding creative solutions to complex problems and driving results in a fast paced environment. I have had the joy of launching over 30 marketing campaigns and products ranging from product integration into American Idol to crowd sourced social media campaigns with producers Wong Fu. Each campaign honed my ability to understand diverse customers, collaborate with partners, and influence others to achieve joint goals. I find it deeply rewarding to mine data and results to build on learnings, share best practices, and keep growing. I am at my best when inspiring my team, connecting people, and unleashing creative ideas. I believe the best companies have both a business and social mission to impact the world. My core competencies include: • Forming partnerships, developing business opportunities, and negotiating sponsorships. • Managing strategy and execution from conception to completion including research, briefs, and reporting. • Creating promotions and driving sales with advertising, direct mail, digital, mobile, social media, PR, and events. • Building cross functional and sales teams and motivating them to top performance. • Energizing nonprofit teams and boards through recruiting, volunteer leadership, and fundraising. • Expertise in total and diversity market segments based on deep customer insights and data. My other passions are mentoring youth, investing in my church community, and investigating real estate. And I always make time to adventure around the world, train my mini schnauzer Shiloh and cook with my Dad.
