About Mindy Foster
I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2021 with a BS in Genetics and Genomic Sciences and a Master's in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences. Successfully graduated from the Science and Technology Honors Program at UAB with a thesis project looking into sex-related differences of aging in C. elegans. I am currently working as a researcher at UAB under Dr. William Marsiglia using NanoBRET technology to understand protein-drug binding interactions in genetic mutants of AKT associated with cancer. Through these experiences, I've garnered plenty of technical and collaborative skills that have facilitated a greater understanding of the scientific process. I look forward to being involved in a field which allows me to contribute to the body of scientific knowledge while also being involved in treating and affecting patient outcomes.
