Technical skill sets include: • Skilled in High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Gas chromatography (GC), UV-visible Spectroscopy, Fluorescence spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, Optical microscopy, Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), Glucose analyzer, Surface-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SALDI-TOF MS), Ion-selective electrode, Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Rotary evaporator, Spin coater, Electrospinning. • Designing, maintenance and troubleshooting of fluid velocity measuring fluidic setup which includes high-pressure regulators, pressure transducer, electrical pressure-readout unit, fluid reservoirs, packed micro- or nanoporous structure, capillary microfluidic columns and restrictor, high-pressure fittings, frits, micro-tight unions, adapters and tubing sleeves, 6-port injection valve; • Designing, maintenance and troubleshooting of a laser-induced fluorescence detector setup which includes 488 nm Argon laser, optical chopper, beam splitter, neutral density filter, bandpass filter, notch filter, dichroic filter, optical microscope, lenses, pinhole, photodiode, PMT; • Porous media flow characterization (porosity, permeability, apparent, effective and relative permeability, Reynolds number, hydraulic radius, slip length, slip flow enhancement factor); • Analysis of lubes and base oils for quality tests such as boiling point, density, flash point, pour point, viscosity and viscosity index; • Software skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), OriginLab, MATLAB, ChemDraw
